This mess-free obstacle course is the perfect partner for your DIY Olympic Medals. Bring on the big movements and big fun!

What you need:

Long string or thread

How to play:

  1. String yarn throughout the house, creating an obstacle course with its path (keeping in mind that your child will be following where the string goes, so safety first!)
  2. Challenge your child to step only on the string, following it from beginning to end.
  3. Time how long it takes them to complete the course, then have them repeat it to see if they can beat their own record!

Play tip:

This game can work for multiple ages. Older children can time their younger siblings, or complete the course on tiptoes for an extra challenge.

Skill Spotlight:

Visual-spatial relations, body awareness
